Why Choose Our Soil Tester?
Ensure your plants receive the right nutrients and environmental conditions with the 6-in-1 Smart Soil Tester. By monitoring soil health, you can prevent overwatering, improve soil quality, and enhance plant growth, leading to a more fruitful and vibrant garden or farm.
Interpreting Fertility (SEEK EXPERT ADVISE):
µS/cm (Microsiemens per centimeter) measures electrical conductivity (EC) in soil. EC indicates the concentration of soluble salts or nutrients in the soil. Higher values usually suggest higher nutrient concentrations.
- 0-500 µS/cm: Low Nutrient Levels (Indicates low levels of soluble salts or nutrients. Soil may need additional fertilization to support plant growth.)
- 500-1500 µS/cm: Moderate Nutrient Levels (Suggests a balanced nutrient level suitable for many plants. Regular monitoring and occasional fertilization may be needed.)
- 1500-3000 µS/cm: High Nutrient Levels (Indicates high levels of soluble salts or nutrients. Excessive nutrients can lead to plant stress or damage. Avoid over-fertilization and ensure proper soil drainage.)
pH Range and Interpretation (SEEK EXPERT ADVISE):
- < 5.5 (Very Acidic): Soil is too acidic for most plants. It may hinder nutrient availability and affect plant growth. To increase pH, add lime or wood ash to the soil.
- 5.5 - 6.5 (Slightly Acidic to Neutral): Ideal pH range for most plants. Provides balanced nutrient availability. Regular monitoring and occasional amendments are typically sufficient.
- 6.5 - 7.5 (Neutral to Slightly Alkaline): Generally suitable for a wide range of plants. If plants show signs of nutrient deficiencies, consider adjusting soil amendments based on specific needs.
- > 7.5 (Alkaline): Soil is too alkaline. It may limit nutrient availability, particularly for nutrients like iron and phosphorus. To decrease pH, add organic matter, sulfur, or acidifying fertilizers.
